Mission Description
- Context: Imagine a secure candy jar or bedroom door that only opens for authorized people – like you or your best friend – and stays shut for strangers. Build a prototype of a Face Recognition Security Gate to explore this idea.
- Task: Using an AI tool (such as a webcam and a simple machine learning model), train the system with a couple of familiar faces (e.g., your own face vs. an unknown face). Connect the AI decision to the Junkbot Core. When the camera “sees” an authorized face, signal the Junkbot Core to unlock a gate by rotating a servo motor (or lighting a green LED to simulate unlock). If the face is not recognized, keep the gate locked (or light a red LED).
- Expected Output: A demo security system where showing your face to the camera causes a “door” (servo barrier) to swing open, but an unfamiliar face does nothing or triggers a refusal signal. This mission ties together coding and AI, showing how real-world systems like phone unlocks or smart home security work – but in a student-friendly project.
