Mission Description
- Context: It’s important to stay hydrated on a hot day. Design a Heat Alert gadget that detects high temperature in the room or outdoors and reminds everyone to drink water or take a break.
- Task: Use the Junkbot Core’s temperature sensor to monitor the ambient temperature. Set a “too hot” threshold (for example, 30°C). If the sensor reading goes above that, the device should give a warning – maybe light up a red LED and display “Too Hot!” or play a buzzing tune. When the temperature is in a comfortable range, perhaps it shows a green light or a thumbs-up icon.
- Expected Output: A temperature warning device that visibly/audibly alerts when it’s very warm. For instance, warming the sensor with your hand or a lamp could trigger a red LED and a “drink water!” message on the screen. In normal temperature, the device stays in a calm state (green light or neutral face). This teaches students about using sensors to promote health and safety.
