Mission Description
- Context: The school is holding a treasure hunt, and teams need to find hidden treasures using clues. One clue is direction-based. You will create a Treasure Hunt Navigator – a compass gadget to help find North, South, East, or West.
- Task: Utilize the Junkbot Core’s compass sensor to build a digital compass. Program it to display an arrow or letter (N, S, E, W) on the LED matrix pointing to the North. As you rotate the device, the display updates to show the current direction. Provide a short training to your team on how to use it to navigate the playground.
- Expected Output: A working electronic compass. When tested, turning in different directions clearly changes the indicator (for example, an “N” when facing north, “E” for east, etc.). On the treasure hunt, this will guide your classmates in the right direction, illustrating how robots and sensors can help in navigation and geography games.
